Privacy Policy — Dreamborn.ink Companion App

Dreamborn.ink Companion ("the App") is operated by Dreamborn ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how the App collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in, we receive your email address and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication (provided by Google). We use this to identify your account and sync your card collection.
Card collection data
Cards you scan are identified on-device using your device's camera and optical character recognition (OCR). Identified cards and quantities are stored locally on your device and uploaded to your dreamborn.ink collection when you choose to sync.
Camera access
The App uses your device camera solely to scan trading cards. Images are processed on-device for card identification and are not uploaded, stored, or shared. No photos are saved to your photo library unless you explicitly choose to do so.
How we use your information
- To authenticate your identity and link your card collection
- To sync scanned cards to your dreamborn.ink account
- To improve card identification accuracy (on-device only)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data storage and security
- Card scan data is stored locally on your device using encrypted on-device storage
- Collection data is synced to dreamborn.ink servers when you upload
- Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication with industry-standard security practices
- API communication uses HTTPS encryption
Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — for user sign-in. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud SQL — for collection and deck data storage. Your data is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure.
Data retention
- Local scan data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App
- Collection data can be deleted from your account settings. Account deletion can be requested by contacting us
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
You may:
- Access your collection data through the App or dreamborn.ink
- Delete your collection data from your account settings, or request account deletion by contacting us
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
